FARPost can reveal that defender Vuyo Mere will not be leaving Swallows FC.
Over the past few weeks, reports had suggested that the 37-year-old was going to be let go because of alleged misconduct, but an impeccable source at the club has confirmed that the two parties have smoked a peace pipe.
“His disciplinary hearing was finalised yesterday (Friday) and he’s not leaving the club,” revealed our source.
It’s not clear what transpired for Mere to be put on ice and not train with the team since last month.
But it’s alleged that there was a document that the club wanted signed by all players and Mere disagreed with its contents, which have not been divulged.
Initially, FARPost sources confirmed that he was accused of sowing divisions in the squad.
However, all is well now and Mere will return to training next week.
