2023 Afcon Preliminary Round Draw
The 2023 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) Preliminary Round Draw was conducted on Friday, 21 January in Douala.
The 2023 Afcon tournament is scheduled to take place in Cote d’Ivoire.
The draw proceedings included the 12 least ranked teams, which were conducted by former Cameroonian defender Rigobert Song and Nigeria former striker Emmanuel Amunike, assisted Caf director of competitions Samson Adamo.
“The six aggregate winners will join the 42 highest ranked teams into the Group Stage of the qualifiers,” read the statement.
The games will be played between 21st to 29th March, 2022.
