Former Chiefs striker joins Gaborone United
Botswana Premier League outfit Gaborone United have acquired the services of former Kaizer Chiefs striker Sizwe Twala.
Twala joins Gaborone on a two-and-a-half-year deal, as confirmed by FARPost last month.
The Soweto-born hitman walked away with the Top Goal Scorer award with 12 goals in the 2018/19 Diski Challenge season. However, he was loaned to Swallows the following season before joining GladAfrica Championship side, Pretoria Callies.
The 24-year-old also played for Orlando Pirates academy for four years before joining the Bidvest Wits academy.
“I like him [Twala], and he is such an intelligent striker,” said Gaborone assistant coach Pontsho Moloi.
“He will surely give us options going forward, especially in a demanding season like this one.”
