Ramovic challenges Brooks to address slump
TS Galaxy coach Sead Ramovic has challenged Bafana Bafana midfielder Ethan Brooks to show what he can do at training if he wants to start matches.
In Tuesday’s goalless draw against Kaizer Chiefs, Brooks was introduced in stoppage time and was hooked in the 57th minute against Royal AM.
Ramovic challenged the promising national team player to recapture the form that earned him a place in Hugo Broos’ Bafana side.
“If you train with the players every day, you know exactly what they’re likely to do. The national team coach can come to our training and watch as well, and then we can talk about it [Brooks’ performances],” he said.
The Germany-born coach said his team selection was influenced by an urgent need to get results. The Rockets are 14th on the log and still not safe from relegation.
“I field the players I believe will help us win. I said it before; every player must show at training why he deserves to play,” concluded Ramovic.
The Rockets’ next assignment in the league is against Sekhukhune, who are smarting from a narrow 1-0 defeat to Orlando Pirates. The two sides clash on 16 April.
