Sanoka says ‘every game is like a final’ in relegation fight
TS Galaxy skipper Pogiso Sanoka says every game is like a final as they fight for survival in the last four games of the season. The Rockets, who face Caf Confederation Cup semi-finalists Orlando Pirates in their next game, are still in danger as they lay 15th on the log with 23 points from 26 matches, five points above basement boys Baroka.
Sanoka has urged his teammates to approach all their remaining DStv Premiership fixtures as cup finals so as to survive the chop. “We’ll make sure we get the three points because I don’t think we can settle for a point. Every game we play now is like a cup final, we’ll try by all means to get better results starting with Pirates,” Sanoka said.
He believes their fate is still in their hands. “We still have a chance all the teams we fighting against have two points difference, one mistake from them we can go through and make the situation better. Out of four games, if we get seven points we should be fine but we have to believe that it’s possible to get 12 points.”
The 29-year-old will be banking on the supporters and home ground advantage to ensure that they collect maximum points against the Bucs on Monday. “We have to try and get the three points, supporters will be there to lift us up. We are playing at home, we have to create that mentality of whenever we playing at home it will be our fortress.” Kickoff at Mbombela Stadium is at 15:00.
