City condemn Chiefs to fourth successive defeat
Kaizer Chiefs hit a new low as they were beaten 1-2 by Cape Town City on Saturday in a DStv Premiership game at FNB Stadium.
The loss was the fourth in a row for Amakhosi, who are under Arthur Zwane on an interim basis. It was goals from Craig Martin and Terence Mashego on either half before Dumisani Zuma got the face-saver with just seven minutes to go.
Chiefs have not lost four successive fixtures in the foreseeable past. Martin took advantage of a Daniel Cardoso error in the 13th minute at the back.
Terence Mashego scooped a pass forward that Cardoso failed to deal with, and Martin was on hand to pounce. He made no mistake from close range, beating Brandon Petersen.
Mashego then added the second for the visitors after a solo run on the left-wing. His deflected low shot made it two for the Citizens. Second-half substitute Dumisani Zuma pulled one back in the 83rd minute.
