FARPost Cup roars to life in Limpopo
The inaugural edition of FARPost Cup will take place at the Mchana Sports Grounds in Indemark Village under the Blouberg Municipality [Capricorn Region] on the 11th of June 2022.
The publishing media company partnered with SAFA Capricorn and SAFA Vhembe to hold a tournament that will help young upcoming players to be scouted by teams fast so that they can start their football careers.
“Often, players in South Africa are discovered late, and one feels if their footballing abilities are identified earlier, their development will be much more refined. You have a Kylian Mbappe playing in the World Cup for France at 18. It means his talent was identified relatively early and developed to the point that he became a key player for France at a very young age, said tournament director Busisiwe Sijora

“The FARPost Cup intends to do the same for our youngsters nationally. It would be our joy to see talents coming out of the FARPost Cup and going on to represent the country in international tournaments.”
Sijora revealed plans to form a team from the participating players that will represent the region in international tournaments.
“We intend to pick a select side that will be sent to international tournaments with the help of our partners.”
Apart from scouting, the FARPost Cup aims to create awareness on fighting substance abuse, fighting gender-based violence, spreading the message of social cohesion and reducing crime among the youth.
On the day of the tourney, pop-up soccer clinics will be available, which will be conducted by football legends Doctor Khumalo and Edward Motale of Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates, respectively. The first 100 kids under 10 years to arrive at the tournament venue will have a chance to attend the clinics for free.
