Another Pirates player in exit talks
Orlando Pirates midfielder Collins Makgaka could be on his way out of the club, with the midfielder looking to try and get back to playing football regularly once again, writes Robert Matakanye.
The 25-year-old midfielder has hardly been given a chance to play since joining the Buccaneers from Baroka in 2020.
FARPost has been reliably informed that talks have taken place regarding a potential exit for the midfielder, with the possibility of a mutual termination now on the cards before the start of the new campaign.
Former Bafana Bafana captain Thulani Hlatshwayo went the same route, with the two parties announcing a decision to part company on Friday. The ex-Bidvest Wits star also saw little game time in the just-ended season.
Makgaka was given just nine DStv Premiership appearances in the 2021/22 season and will be eager to try and get things back on track if he does leave Pirates for new pastures.
Though his future is not certain at this point, one thing for sure is that Makgaka would not be short of options should he become available as a free agent. A number of clubs are reportedly keeping a close eye on his current situation to see what comes of it.
