Former SuperSport United midfielder signs for Ugandan team
Former SuperSport United midfielder Moses Waiswa has signed a two-year deal with KCCA FC back home in Uganda.
KCCA have confirmed that the midfielder has inked the deal as a free agent after being released by SuperSport.
KCCA say Waiswa has followed the footsteps of his father, Ali Waiswa, who also played for the team.
The Uganda club has since praised its new catch, saying the midfielder “possesses good passing skills, a trait that is key for any player at KCCA, especially in the midfield.”
The attacking midfielder becomes KCCA FC’s first signing ahead of the 2022/23 season.
The 25-year-old had, before signing for SuperSport, also played at Vipers SC in Uganda then Vaxjo United FC and Syrianska FC in Sweden.
Waiswa is expected to travel with KCCA FC next week to Burundi to participate in Nkurunzinza Peace Cup from 22nd to 27th June 2022.
Waiswa’s contract runs until June 2024 but with an option to extend it for another year until 2025 if both parties agree by mutual consent.
