Tottenham Hotspur’s new signing Yves Bissouma has been cleared of sexual assault allegation following his arrest at Brighton nightclub.
The ex-Mamelodi Sundowns target and a man in his 40s were arrested in the early hours of October 6 last year when law enforcement were called to a nightclub in Brighton.
However, the 25-year-old midfielder was granted a bail on conditions amended in order to play for Mali in the Africa Cup of Nations earlier this year.
But, in a turn of events, Bissouma was released with no further action.
“A man in his 20s, also from Brighton, who was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault has been released with no further action to be taken,” said Sussex Police spokesperson via the Daily Mail.
Meanwhile, the man in his 40s has had his conditional bail extended until July 4, 2022.
“The investigation is ongoing and no additional information is available at this time,” added the Police spokesperson.
