Ex-Chiefs player sends Yanga a message
Newly signed Young Africans forward Lazarous Kambole has sent a message to the club’s fans ahead of his move to the club.
Kambole parted ways with Kaizer Chiefs last month and will start life at the Tanzania giants next week when they start pre-season.
The Zambian international who penned a two-year contract describes the move as a way to bring back his confidence following a difficult stint with Amakhosi.
“It’s going to be a new chapter, a new challenge, a new environment, but it’s just the same football. I’m going there to enjoy football, to bring back my confidence and rediscover myself,” Kambole told FARPost.
“It’s going to be a great season, and you will see the real Lazarous Kambole everyone knows, the Lazarous that people know who score goals week in week out. It will not be easy, but you can achieve anything with hard work.”
The 28-year-old further shared his excitement to return to Champions League football as Yanga will be participating in the competition after winning the Tanzanian Premier League.
“Champions League football is good, very competitive cause it’s the league of champions, you have to prepare so hard to fight in the competition. Champions League is one league I’ve enjoyed in my career even when I was at Zesco I used to score a lot of goals in the Champions League. I’m going to use my experience to help the team so that we can go far,” he concluded.
