Sekhukhune announce new additions
Sekhukhune United have confirmed the acquisitions of defenders Daniel Cardoso and Katlego Mkhabela from Kaizer Chiefs and Free State Stars respectively.
Cardoso recently parted with Chiefs after seven seasons with the Soweto giants. The highly-rated defender played 185 games for Amakhosi and contributed 12 goals in the process.
The 33-year-old began his professional football career with Free State Stars, before moving to Chiefs.
The centre-back is expected to brings his “wealth of experience to the Babina Noko’s defence.”
Meanwhile, Mkhabela started his career with Arsenal FC (SAB League) before joining Ella Koto in 2018.
The right-back played 25 league games last season in the GladAfrica Championship with Free State outfit.
“Sekhukhune United Football Club would like to welcome Mkhabela and Cardoso to Babina Noko family,” read the club’s statement.
