The 2022/23 Premier Soccer League season is set to begin with a fixture between defending Champions Mamelodi Sundowns and Cape Town City on Friday, 5 August.
This is according to the DStv Premiership draft fixture this publication is in possession of. The fixtures are subject to change before the league officially releases the confirmed fixtures.
The provisional fixture list has tipped Sundowns with the Citizens at Cape Town Stadium on Friday night starting at 19:30.
On Saturday, 6 August, Golden Arrows will host Richards Bay in a KwaZulu Natal derby at Princess Magogo Stadium. Marumo Gallants will welcome Stellenbosch at New Peter Mokaba Stadium, Orlando Pirates will take on Swallows in a Soweto derby in Orlando.
Royal AM will welcome Kaizer Chiefs at Chatsworth while Maritzburg United will take on Sekhukhune at Harry Gwala Stadium.
On Sunday, TS Galaxy will host AmaZulu at Mbombela Stadium while SuperSport United will take on Chippa United at Lucas Moripe Stadium.
Meanwhile, Swallows FC will host some of their matches at Peter Mokaba Stadium. This is according to the fixture list released to premiership clubs by the league. The Dube Birds, who usually play their matches at Dobsonville Stadium, will use the Limpopo venue for most of their matches including the match against Kaizer Chiefs on 5 October 2023.
