Ramovic pens new deal with TS Galaxy
TS Galaxy coach Sead Ramovic has been handed a contract extension.
His new deal will keep him at the club until 2025.
The German mentor took over the coaching reigns at the Rockets from Owen Da Gama just after six league games in the last term.
Sead Ramovic has vowed to the Mpumalanga-based outfit’s fans that they won’t be fighting relegation in the upcoming season and has set his sights on finishing in the top eight.
“If we are honest with ourselves and show commitment, then we will fulfil our goal of finishing in the top eight,” the 43-year-old tactician told the club’s media when they commenced with their pre-season camp.
“Without hard work, it is pointless to talk about anything else. We have to keep on working hard.”
He also admitted that challenges were there last season, however, he is grateful to have successfully propelled the club to safety against all odds.
“The challenge was there. We had to prove ourselves. I’m happy that we achieved our goal to stay in the league. But we have to keep on improving. We have to get to the next step. When I took over, the club lacked the basics. It wasn’t easy, but I have to give credit to the players for how they stuck together and worked hard for the club. A lot of players improved. We are looking forward to the new season,” he divulged.
In addition, the Rockets have bolstered its squad with the signings of frontman Sibusiso Vilakazi and midfielder Xola Mlambo. The duo join Galaxy as free agents after parting ways with their previous clubs.
The club also managed to extend the contracts of Lindokuhle Mbatha, Bathusi Aubaas, Pogiso Sanoka, Melusi Buthelezi, Given Msimango and Marks Munyai as the new campaign looms large
Galaxy will kick start the 2022/23 DStv Premiership season against AmaZulu at Mbombela Stadium on Sunday, 7 August 2022.
The game is scheduled to start at 15:00 in the afternoon.
