The five players Mkhalele is adding to the CHAN squad
Coach Helman Mkhalele have bolstered his youthful Bafana Bafana squad with new five players ahead of CHAN qualifier against Comoros on Saturday.
South Africa reported for camp in Johannesburg for their return leg clash scheduled to take place at Dobsonville Stadium. The kick-off is at 15h00 in the afternoon.
The five are Promise Mkhuma (Mamelodi Sundowns) , George Matlou (Kaizer Chiefs), Sammy Seabi (Mamelodi Sundowns), Sibusiso Milazi (Kaizer Chiefs) and Keenan Phillips (SuperSport United).
However, the 52-year-old mentor has maintained the majority of the players who won the first leg away from home a week ago, thanks to Khulekani Shezi solo’s strike.
“I have brought in five new players to add to that squad which played away because some of our players who featured in the first leg match were ruled out due to injuries,” Mkhalele told SAFA media.
“We have roped in the likes of Promise Mkhuma, George Matlou, Sammy Seabi, Sibusiso Milazi and Keenan Phillips as suitable replacements as we continue with our preparations for the upcoming second leg fixture against Comoros.
“This second tie is not going to be easy because we expect Comoros to come at us with the intention of overturning the first leg result we produced against them. We are not going to allow them room as this is one match we want to dominate from the first whistle until the last.”
Promise Mkhuma
The 22-year-old winger has represented the South African U-20 national team where he won eight caps. The Bafana Ba Style player will be expected to add value to Mkhalele’s attacking options.

Sammy Seabi
Seabi, 27, who plays as a midfielder for South African football top-flight champions Mamelodi Sundowns will be expected to add the much-needed experience in the middle of the park. He spent the last campaign at Chippa United on loan.
Sibusiso Milazi
The 21-year-old forward plays for Kaizer Chiefs Reserves in the DStv Diski Challenge. He also boasts excellent pace and got an eye for goals.
Keenan Phillips
Phillips plays as a right-back for Matsatsantsa. The 22-year-old has accumulated five caps for the South African U-20 and scored one goal in the process.
