Truter gives an update about the club’s new signings

AmaZulu head coach Brandon Truter has revealed his happiness about the new acquisitions the club supremo Sandile Zungu brought in ahead of the much anticipated 2022/23 football season which starts in less that two weeks.

Usuthu shown a number of players the exit door and acquired the services of top class players who can take the team to another level.

The KZN outfit got the signatures of George Maluleka from Masandawana, Gabadinho Mhando from Pirates, Kaizer Chiefs bad boy Dumisani Zuma and talented Ethan Brooks from TS Galaxy.

“I think everybody can see that the president has done well and the club has done well in the transfer window. Some very good signings, top quality, good personalities as well. On paper it looks like a very good team so for us now is to find good combinations in terms of finding the right playing style and formation,” Truter told the media.

“New guys have come in, very competitive, quality players and its winners so we on the right track. We got the Premier’s Cup to look forward to then the kickoff of the league.”

“They [new signings] are doing very well, absolutely no problems wigh both of them Gaba [Mhango] is smiling at training even [Dumisani] Zuma as well, Zuma pick up a knock but all of them are doing very well. We have a good quality squad that can compete in the first game and hopefully win the first game. Hopefully come up with a strategy that will suit all the players.”

The former Swallows boss revealed that the club might one or two players to bolster their squad, however he didn’t reveal any further details.

“Anything is possible, we’ll see especially after this weekend we still have one or two new faces in training as well. I don’t want to let anything out of the bag now we might not be done in the transfer window yet,” Truter concluded.

Usuthu are still busy with their preseason preparations. On Saturday they shift their focus to KZN Premier’s Cup where they will battle with the provinces other teams like Golden Arrows, Royal AM Uthongathi FC, Maritzburg United and Richards Bay.
