Mabasa’s assurance to Sekhukhune supporters
Sekhukhune United striker Tshegofatso Mabasa has urged the club’s faithful to come out in numbers when they host Mamelodi Sundowns at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday.
Babina Noko will host the defending Champions in a match that they need positive results after a disappointing 1-0 defeat to Richards Bay last weekend.
Last season, Sekhukhune lost both home and away matches to Sundowns. Both with a 2-0 score line.
But the Limpopo side, who are currently ninth on the DStv Premiership log will be rallying behind the support in Polokwane that also came out in numbers during the 1-0 win against Golden Arrows a week ago.
“We came off a very difficult game against Richards Bay where we didn’t take our chances and we were punished for it,” said Mabasa ahead of the match.
“It happens. It’s part of football. We just need to lift our heads up and continue to work hard because, in the end, we have another game this coming weekend against the defending Champions (Mamelodi Sundowns).
“We don’t need any more inspiration going into that game. It’s a game that each and every player looks forward to in the league calendar, so we just have to go there and enjoy the moment and give it our all.
The 25-year-old says there is a determination within the camp to go all out for maximum points.
“One thing that our supporters can expect from us is that the boys will show hunger and determination to get all three points, and hopefully, we can deliver that for them. I also want to ask them to come in their numbers to come and give us the full support and rally behind the team each and every step of the way.”
Tickets for the 15:00 kickoff match are at R 40 available at Computicket.
