VFA sign ABC Motsepe League star
Motsepe Foundation Championship side Venda Football Academy (VFA) have completed the acquisition of Kingsley Rembuluwani.
The player joins VFA from Vondwe XI Bullets, participating in the Limpopo ABC Motsepe League.
Vondwe finished eighth in Stream A table of the provincial ABC League in the last term.
Before joining Vondwe last campaign, the player had stints with Bennies Care Sports Academy and JDR Stars.
He made his debut for his previous team against Mikhado FC where he played for only 12 minutes. Vondwe went on to win the game 1-0 at home.
“We would like to thank him for his services during his time at the club, Kingsley has been a great soldier on and off the pitch, a champion on and off the pitch,” read the club’s statement.
Meanwhile, Rembuluwani has bid an emotional farewell to Vondwe expressing his gratitude to all of those who have helped him throughout his stay at the club.
“I will always be a Bullets member and I would like to thank everyone from the team who believed in me. Thanks to the fans for wishing me luck,” said the defender.
Just a week ago, in an interview with Bae-Hawk of Sonic Digitals, the right-back said: “This league (referring to ABC Motsepe) is hard and is very demanding, one has to be mentally and physically ready for every single match and for me it was hard adapting as I spent few games of last season not having game time and it was killing my confidence as I always go to training and give my best abilities
“After the departure of coach Zoo and Wanga that is when I started playing regularly under coach Sambo Oruel and Lufuno ‘Zambrotta’, these two coaches sat down with me and converted me to be the right back and I then adapted quickly and started enjoying myself and know why I should wake up and go to training.”
The rising star will be hoping to win the the heart of his mentor and breakthrough into the VFA’s starting eleven when the new season commences next month.
