Marumo Gallants new signing promises his best every day
Marumo Gallants’ new signing Yidah Sven Yidah has vowed to ‘give out his very best every day’ this DStv Premiership campaign.
The Kenyan international said this while reflecting on his DStv Premiership debut in the two-all away draw against Royal AM on Sunday.
Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo and Sede Dion thought they had given Gallants the much-needed maximum points.
However, former Mamelodi Sundowns defender Ricardo Nascimento scored in the game’s dying minutes to build on Lesvin Stoffels’ earlier goal for the visitors.
Nonetheless, Yidah felt relieved to have finally had a slice of South African top-flight league football.
“I’m happy to have got my Marumo Gallants FC debut yesterday! We were so close to the win, but we take the point and move forward. I am happy to begin a new chapter in my life with Marumo Gallants FC. I promise to give my very best every day!” the holding midfielder wrote on his Facebook page.
“Thanks to the Almighty God for this blessing. Thanks to you all, my family, friends and fans, for always supporting me!! | Please continue showing that love and encouragement as I take up this new challenge.”
The 23-year-old has joined from Nairobi City, where he made a name, leading to his national team call-ups.
Yihad has since penned an emotional farewell letter to City coaches, fans and management.
The Harambee Stars international said he felt greatly indebted to the Kenyan outfit for developing him into an international player.
“To my coaches Nicholas Muyoti, John Amboko, Sanjin Alagic and their entire technical bench, I say thank you very much for making me a better player by pushing me to do my best every day.
To my teammates, thank you for being my second family all through my stay at the club. May God bless you all,” he wrote.
“Mr. Patrick Korir , our CEO and Mr. Samson Aloo, I am grateful for the mentorship and guidance you always provided. You made me a better human being. To all our fans, I am indebted to you. Your love and support has been there every day. I pray for you all to win in everything that you do. I kindly request that you all continue supporting me and praying for me as I take up my new assignment.”
