Tembo wants consistency from his players against Swallows

Sekhukhune United head coach Kaitano Tembo has urged his players to take a leaf from their second half performances against Mamelodi Sundowns when they take on Swallows on Tuesday evening.

Babina Noko travels to Dobsonville Stadium to take on the Dube Birds at 19:30.

They come from a convincing 1-1 draw against the reigning DStv Premiership champions Masandawana.

It was the second half performances by the Limpopo side that Tembo wants his players to draw inspiration from on Tuesday evening.

“Yeah, most definitely I think we can take our second half performances into our next game because it was positive,” said Tembo.

“There is still a lot of work to be done and we will take it one game at a time”

The 52-year-old mentor is still a bit concerned by the inability of his players to get the combinations right at times

“We are still trying to gel as a team. You can see the combinations are still not there in terms of when we have the ball. Defensively we have shape.

“But now we need to put a little bit more of when we have the ball because we are not clear in terms of how we want to play, how we want to build up but it will get better, in time it will get better,” he said.

Sekhukhune are currently 10th on the DStv Premiership log after four rounds of matches. They have 1 win, which was a 1-0 against Golden Arrows at home. They have drawn two and lost one. They have also scored three while conceding three goals. A win tonight will see them move to fourth place.

Sekhukhune will be without striker Tashreeq Morris who is still suspended.

In the other DStv Premiership match tonight, Cape Town City will host Kaizer Chiefs at Cape Town Stadium.
