Brazil to host Ghana and Tunisia in France

The Brazilian Football Federation Confederation (CBF) has finally confirmed France as the venue for its two September friendlies against Africa’s FIFA World Cup envoys Tunisia and Ghana.

CBF a fortnight ago only confirmed that Brazil would be facing Ghana and Tunisia on September dates in Europe.

The record five-time FIFA World Cup champions will exclusively play African opponents during this month’s international match window that will run from September 19-27.

According to a statement released by the CBF on Friday, Brazil will kick off their itinerary on September 23 against The Black Stars Ghana in the Normandy port city of Le Havre at Stade Oceane.

Brazil will then head to Paris to face Tunisia on September 27 at Paris Saint-Germain’s home ground of Parc des Prince.

The CBF also stated that the two African nations will be Brazil’s last friendly dates to play before the World Cup kicks off on November 20.

Brazil is using the two friendlies to prepare for their Group G fixture against Africa’s most successful FIFA World Cup campaigners, Cameroon, on December 2.

Cameroon is heading for an unprecedented 8th FIFA World Cup tournament.

Meanwhile, the Brazil date is Tunisia’s only confirmed friendly this month.

Conversely, Ghana will wrap up their European-friendly tour with a trip across the border into Spain to play Nicaragua on September 27 at Lorca.

The Atlas Lions of Morocco and Senegal are Africa’s other representatives at the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

Morocco will also be in Spain this month to play Chile on September 23 in Barcelona and Paraguay on September 27 in Seville.

African champions Senegal will be in Austria to play Bolivia on September 24 and Iran on September 27.

Cameroon will head to the Far East, where they play Uzbekistan in South Korea on September 23 and South Korea four days later in Seoul.
