Wanderers new coach outlines his vision
Gabriel Nkati has begun his tenure at the Western Cape ABC Motsepe League outfit Wanderers FC after being appointed as the club’s new head coach.
And after putting a pen to paper with the South African football third-tier, the new man in charge believes he is ready for the next level in his career.
Coach Nkati will be assisted by Thulani Sikweza and Mfundo Mqikela.
Wanderers have already earmarked positions which they will look to strengthen in the upcoming campaign as they look to back Nkati to build his side.
WHAT THE CLUB SAID…
“We are delighted to officially announce the man who will be steering the wheel of our ABC Motsepe League ship, coach Gabriel Nkanti,” read the side’s statement.
The new coach has now outlined his vision for the future at the ambitious Cape club.
Speaking after his unveiling, Nkati said: “My vision is to guide my players to become better individuals and be ready for the next level in their football career.
“Life to me is not about winning, but making sure that the boys are given the opportunity to showcase their talent and not try to change their style of play but to motivate them to do more of what they are good at.
“Also seeing them fall in love with the game and in the midst of it all, enjoy the beautiful game.”
The club also unveiled their new strength and conditioning coach, Masi Ngcwatywa.
The side described Ngcwatywa as the best in the game of making sure that those hamstrings and quadriceps are in order, and a physical performance expert.
Nkati will be expected to help the side to achieve its ultimate goal of qualifying for the ABC League national playoffs and possibly getting promoted to the Motsepe Foundation Championship next season.
