Motsepe Foundation Championship side Magesi FC have officially announced their new signings for the current season.

Former SAFA NEC member Abel Rakoma had also been appointed as the new spokesperson. The club have also announced Patrick Mulaudzi as the new assistant to head coach Jackie Ledwaba.

“As a newly promoted team, we wanted it to be known that we are back in the PSL and now are competing in the Motsepe Foundation. So, we felt it is necessary that we engage you (media),” club CEO John Mathibe told the media.

“We beefed up the technical team and we also acquired the services of Abel Rakoma to use his influence and knowledge in the best possible way.

The race is open and the competition is high. If you were to follow our trends from the ABC Motsepe League, we were always number one or number two. So, most of the teams that are competing with us are teams we know from the ABC Motsepe, some of the players in those teams are players that used to play against us.

“So now the competition is open and if you look at the league as it stands now, number 13 can easily become number three. It shows you that it’s a very tight competition,” he said.

NEW EXPERIENCED PLAYERS

Players that were officially unveiled during the media briefing at Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Wednesday include Elvis Chipezeze, Njabulo Buthelezi, Vuyisile Wana, Jackie Letwaba and Mpho Raseoana.

Magesi are currently 10th on the Motsepe Foundation Championship log after five rounds of matches played.
