CT City make it five in five, TS Galaxy register first point
Cape Town City continued their perfect start to the 2022/23 DStv Diski Challenge as TS Galaxy registered their first point.
On Saturday, they defeated Chippa United 3-1 making it five victories in five, whilst TS Galaxy finally got their first point of the season.
The victory saw City open a six point lead gap at the summit of the table. They have accumulated 15 points, scoring 13 goals and only conceding three.
A few days back coach Ian Taylor praised City for the perfect start. However, he warned them not to underestimate their opponents in every match.
“They have to remain humble and understand that it is about the team, not individual. Doing your task within the team and having discipline. We take it week by week we are working on a cycle, and we have short terms and medium-term goals, said Taylor.
TS Galaxy vs Swallows FC
In another encounter played on Saturday, TS Galaxy finally registered their first point of the season.
They were held to a goalless draw at home by Swallows FC. The dull stalemate still left The Rockets sitting at the log after four encounters.
The Mpumalanga outfit are now three points behind from 15th place Richards Bay.
