Nteo outlines two things to do against ZESCO

Royal AM assistant coach Abram Nteo has outlined two important things they must do in Zambia against ZESCO United to be victorious in the CAF Confederations Cup.

Abram Nteo says they must defend well and score goals in Zambia.

The teams played out a dull goalless draw on Sunday in the first leg. They couldn’t convert their chances and find the back of the net.

“We could have won the match, it’s an advantage for us to go that side and make sure that we defend well and score goals,” Abram Nteo told the media.

“It will be important to defend well and score goals because they are a good team, they play good football. Tactically, they have good players that influence the game very positively.

“Second leg will be tough, that side they got supporters, but we approach the game the same, we don’t change anything.

“We have to make sure we control the game, if we get one goal that’s when things will change. If we defend well, like we defended today [Sunday] then we have a chance to score a goal.”

Despite a goalless draw, Nteo was a happy man after final whistle. He believes they have an upper hand heading into the second leg.

“We didn’t win the game, but we tried especially second half. We created so many chances, we could have got two or three goals there.

“I’m happy with the performance, we can take it from here, improve in the next game and get a win on the other side,” Nteo added.

The second leg will take place on Saturday. Both teams are eyeing to advance to the group stages of the competition.

Kickoff at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium is at 3pm.
