Chiefs star Bimenyimana in self-motivating mode ahead of Chippa clash

Kaizer Chiefs in-form targetman Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana has gone into self-motivating mode ahead of the clash against Chippa United on Saturday.

Bimenyimana has, ahead of the DStv Premiership, gone philosopher saying the secret to life is finding out one’s destiny.

“The whole secret of a successful life is to find out what is one’s destiny to do, and then do it,” he tweeted.

He said then emphasized the need for hard work after capturing himself sweating out in the gym.

“Turn your wounds into wisdom,” the 24-year-old added.

Bimenyimana is in the form of his Chiefs career after scoring six goals in some five games.

He converted three penalties for Chiefs as they swept aside Stellenbosch 3-1 over the weekend.

The Burundian joined Peter Shalulile of Mamelodi Sundowns as the leading scorers in the DStv Premiership.

However, Bimenyimana has played fewer league games compared to Shalulile.

Bimenyimana is the first player to score a hat-trick of penalties in PSL history since its inception in the 1996/07 season.

Little wonder, some of Amakhosi supporters have likened the Burundian international to Manchester City’s goal scoring machine Erling Halaand.

Some of the Chiefs fans have christened Bimenyimana as Caleb Halaand because of his scoring exploits.

Chiefs will look up to the towering front-man when welcoming Chippa United at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Saturday.

Amakhosi return to the same 2010 World Cup venue to face Amazulu in the MTN8 semi-final second leg clash.

Chiefs are gunning for a fourth straight win when lining up against the 11th positioned Chilli Boys.

“Given the two teams’ present form, the game on Saturday promises to be a cracker as both teams will aim to continue their winning streaks,” Chiefs website reports.

Amakhosi sit fourth on the log table with 17 points from 10 games, six points ahead of Chippa.

Coach Arthur Zwane has since received a boost as he welcomes back Zitha Kwinika and Lehlogonolo Matlou from suspension.
