One of these teams will get more than five, warns Chiefs coach

Kaizer Chiefs might be struggling, but one thing Arthur Zwane is not lacking is confidence as he fired warning shots, saying, “one of these teams will get more than five”.

The Amakhosi coach, speaking after the 2-2 draw with TS Galaxy, sounded convinced that it is only a matter of time before Chiefs score an avalanche of goals.

And he also promised that Chiefs will soon hand a side in the DStv Premiership a heavy defeat, judging by the way his men create chances.

The Soweto giants drew 2-2 against TS Galaxy in a league game on Wednesday evening at FNB Stadium.

Chiefs squandered several clear-cut opportunities, which somewhat gave Zwane hope.

“I’m happy with the way the boys played against Galaxy, and we will keep it that way, keep that momentum going, and one of these teams will get more than five,” Zwane told the media.

“The goal is a confidence booster for Ashely Du Preez. If you look at this performance tonight, he did very well, actually, all the boys.

“And yes, as I said, after scoring the opening goal, we thought the game was going to be easy because we were just on top of them.

“You could even see in the second half that we came out guns blazing because we were in charge and showed that we wanted to score.

“We could have done that at any given time; it is just unfortunate that we didn’t take our chances. We learn every day, and one day God will answer us,” he added.

Despite dropping points in two consecutive league matches, Zwane insists that Amakhosi are on the right track.

He revealed Chiefs’ undoing in the Galaxy game. “Our downfall was to score too early in the game, and after that, we created quite a few chances, but we failed to kill the game off,” he said.
