Mosimane drums up support for Women’s Champions League
Celebrated South African coach Pitso Mosimane has drummed up support for the forthcoming CAF Women’s champions League.
The Saudi Arabia-based coach said women’s football deserves equal attention ahead of the continental league championship that Morocco will host.
“A reminder about the 2022 CAF Women’s Champions League that starts on the 30th of October in Morocco. In my spare time, I will be keeping up with the games; I hope you will be too,” he said.
It is not clear why Mosimane has gone out of his way to show his support for the women’s league.
However, it won’t be surprising to note that he is supporting the women’s game in recognition of its growing importance.
The Al Ahli Saudi club boss then explained why it was inevitable supporting women’s football.
“Let’s support women’s football because, through that, we are #EmpoweringOurGame,” he added.
