Former Bloemfontein defender lands new job
Mpumalanga ABC Motsepe League side Passion have appointed former Bloemfontein Celtic defender James Madidilani as the club’s new head coach.
Madidilani will be assisted by Thabang Cosmos.
This comes after the side parted company with its technical team.
Thapelo Liau, who served as the head coach, and his assistant Molefi Ntsoeleng were shown the exit door. Their axing came after a string of poor results.
The duo took charge of four games, and managed to play two draws and lost two games in the process.
In those four matches, they only found the back of the net on five occasions and conceded nine goals.
Madidilane was with Eastern Cape ABC Motsepe League side Spear of the Nation as technical director.
He comes in highly rated, having coached Bantu in Lesotho. This was his first appointment as a head coach of a senior team.
Madidilani spent three seasons at Bantu. He led them to two league titles before becoming assistant coach of the Lesotho national team.
The 36-year-old has also served as assistant coach of Free State ABC Motsepe League side Mangaung Unite back in 2019.
As things stand, Passion find themselves on the 8th position in Stream A of the provincial ABC League. They have only collected two points.
