“And the young kid Cassius Mailula who is just happy to play football,” he told this publication.
“I think for me Marcelo and Nasir are the players that have stood out in terms of the new guys.”
The ex-Bloemfontein Celtic midfielder went on to state that the Chloorkop club have plenty of quality players. He believes their quality can help them prosper and defend their league title.
“For sure they have got quality players in Bongani Zungu, Sipho Mbule and the Moroccan player Abdelmounaim Boutouil,” he added.
“I had the opportunity to watch Abdelmounaim Boutouil during their Champions League clash against La Passe. He’s got good touches, but they have to be tested in the PSL then we will take it from there.”
As things stand, Sundowns are placed on the summit of the DStv Premiership log standings. They have collected 25 points from 11 outings, just three points ahead of second-placed Richards Bay.
