Ivorian youngster backed for Man Utd comeback

Manchester United fans have backed Amad Diallo for the Red Devils’ comeback following his stellar performance in the English Football League Championship [EFL] on Wednesday. 

This comes after the United loanee Diallo helped Sunderland to defeat Huddersfield Town 2-0 in the Championship.

The Ivorian international has featured in 11 games for Sunderland this campaign ever since joining them in August 2022. 

He has found the back of the net on two occasions and the winger has won the of Sunderland mentor Tony Mowbray with his fine form. 

Now, the talented winger has started in the last three games for his side which were against Burnley, Luton Town and Huddersfield.

The 20-year-old is slowly paving his way into Erik ten Hag’s heart away from Old Trafford.

Diallo joined United in January 2021 and he was loaned out to Rangers before being loaned to Sunderland in 2022.

He made his senior national debut for The Elephants in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. 

Meanwhile, Mowbray’s trust in the youngster is finally paying off for his side.

 “With his physical data, he was top in every aspect from distance covered to a number of high-speed sprints, he was amazingly athletic as well as showing his talent,” said Mowbray as quoted by Manchester Evening News. 

“That bodes well for us and also accelerates him in my mind in terms of him being a starting player for us, beyond a young lad who I can bring off the bench.”

United fans took to socials to express their excitement following the youngster’s scintillating display.
