Pitso Mosimane drills coaches in Saudi Arabia

Pitso Mosimane is reportedly taking advantage of the World Cup-induced break in Saudi Arabia to drill up-and-coming coaches.

Mosimane’s second-tier side Al Ahli Saudi SC are on break, thereby giving the South African time to impart knowledge.

Al Ahli have confirmed that the former Al Ahly trainer was the facilitator of a workshop held on Monday.

“…the club’s management held a workshop of coaches of the club, and it was delivered by the South African first team coach Pitso Mosimane,” Al Ahli says in a statement.

KNOWLEDGE EXCHANCE

The Jeddah-based team says the workshop was part of efforts to ensure the sharing of playing philosophy in the club’s set-up.

“It was part of the development process pursued by the administration and the exchange of experience between different football schools to see the best international experience,” the club added.

Mosimane joined Al Ahli last month after taking a sabbatical from coaching following his exit from Al Ahly in Egypt.

The former Bafana Bafana handler took advantage of the sabbatical to conduct coaching clinics in South Africa and beyond the borders.

He joined Yanga during their title celebrating and conducted youth team coaching clinics.

WELL-VERSED MOSIMANE

Mosimane is well versed to impart knowledge to fellow coaches.

He is the first South Africa to obtain the CAF Pro Licence.

Mosimane has since made an impressive start to his reign at Al Ahli.

He inherited the team while lying sixth on the log table and took them to third place before the break.

Al Ahli management has tasked Mosimane with earning the club promotion to the Saudi Pro League.
