La Masia beat Baroka in a six-goal Motsepe Foundation Championship thriller played at the Bidvest Wits Stadium on Saturday.
La Masia finally registered their first victory in three matches in the second tier.
They defeated former DStv Premiership side Baroka 4-2 in an exciting encounter.
On the other hand, Baroka’s search for a first win stretched to four matches. They have registered a single draw and suffered three defeats.
Both teams started on a bright note. However, they couldn’t put the ball at the back of the net. Half an hour into the match, it turned into a dull affair with both teams blunt in the final third.
The home side eventually broke the deadlock 22 minutes into the game. Minutes later, the visitors tried to respond. However, their effort did little to trouble the goalkeeper as it went wide.
The second half started at a fast past pace, with the home side doubling the lead in the 49th minute. Eight minutes later, the Gauteng outfit made it 3-0.
The visitors pulled one back one minute just before the match ended. La Masia was not done yet, as they extended their lead, scoring their fourth goal of the match.
Just after the restart, the Polokwane side scored their goal of the match and the match ended 4-2.

The goals galore lifted La Masia to 11th place on the log standings with 14 points from 11 matches.,
On the other hand, Baroka moved downwards to 13th with 11 points with the same number of matches played.
