TTM boss Masala Mulaudzi reacts to club sale rumours

Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) boss Masala Mulaudzi has reacted to the strong rumour that he has sold the club yet again.

In a WhatsApp chain message circulating since Monday, Mulaudzi is said to have agreed to sell the Motsepe Foundation Championship status to Munaca FC.

Munaca is a Limpopo ABC Motsepe league club based in Louis Trichardt, the same area where TTM is based. They are owned by Local businessman Walter Ramapala.

TTM has been sold to the owners of Munaca FC campaigning in the ABC Motsepe Promotional League. It is a done deal. What is left now is for Walter, the owner of Munaca FC to come back from Dubai and finalize the paperwork. The team will not be based at Mulima but will join VFA Academy in Makhado, former Louis Trichardt. It is not yet known as to whether they will keep the whole technical team and the players,” read the message.

MULAUDZI CLARIFIES RUMOURS

FARPost reached out to TTM owner Mulaudzi who confirmed that there has been an approach, but there is no deal in place. “That is absolute nonsense,” said Mulaudzi on the supposed sale agreement.

TTM president Masala Mulaudzi says they are not selling the club

“What has happened is that when we wanted to relocate the team from Thohoyandou Stadium to Bloemfontein. Munaca reached out to us and requested that we must not relocate because they have an interest (in buying). They said they would rather keep the team in the province. I had discussions with them, but unfortunately, they don’t have funds available to fulfil their obligation.

“So, there is nothing like that to say the team is sold. The team is not sold. Yes, we have been approached by so many people who are asking to take over the team because of the challenges that we are experiencing. So, we have been approached by people from Johannesburg and others. But Munaca is not anywhere closer to what you are talking about,” he said.

“They have an interest in keeping the team in the province or in the Vhembe region. But unfortunately, they are not in a position to fulfil their obligations.”

“The club can still move to Bloemfontein. There is huge interest from Bloemfontein, I must say, but people are just saying without committing. There is no full commitment. But honestly speaking, we are not going to go back to Thohoyandou Stadium.

“We don’t want to go back there because we are spending too much to play there. So, the team would rather move somewhere else. It might move without being sold, or it might move without being sold. It’s a pity that even if you were to sell it now, obviously, you will need the executive committee of the PSL to approve.”
