AmaZulu duo rise to the occasion for respective nations

AmaZulu duo of Jean-Noel Amonome and Larry Bwalya rose to the occasion for their respective nation’s friendlies on Thursday.

Amonome, who plays as a goalkeeper for Gabon helped his side to thrash Guinea-Bissau 3-1 in an international friendly match. The showdown took place in Turkey.

A brace from Aaron Boupendza and a goal courtesy of Axel Meye was enough for the Gabonese side to walk away victorious, whereas, Jardel scored the consolation goal for Guinea.

The 24-year-old shot-stopper joined Usuthu back in January 2020 from FC 105 Libreville.

However, he was sent out on loan to Royal Eagles and Uthongathi respectively and now he will be hoping to make his presence felt at AmaZulu, and challenge for his place between the sticks.
