Kodisang adds another goal to his tally in Portugal
South African winger Kobamelo Kodisang has added another goal to his tally for Portuguese side, Moreirense.
Kodisang netted his eighth goal of the season after he was introduced in the 15th minute of the showdown as his side thrashed Estrela 4-2 in the Taça da Liga [Allianz Cup] clash.
One can say that the Bafana Bafana international, Kodisang continues to prove his doubters wrong with some consistent stellar displays and knows how to find the back of the net.
So far, Kodisang, 23, has played 18 games across all competitions for Moreirense this season.
He has banged seven goals and contributed three assists, while he has walked away with four Man of the Match accolades.
KODISANG IN GREAT FORM
Ever since joining the Moreirense in August this year from SC Braga B on a season-long loan deal, Kodisang isn’t just the Portuguese’s side star player, but he is a cracking package, workhorse and ever-reliable finisher.
The ex-Kaizer Chiefs target is determined to show his worth as the Bafana coach Hugo Broos continues to snub him from the national team squad.
And many South African football fanatics are still surprised why a player of Kodisang’s calibre is not given a chance to showcase what he is capable of at the national team level, having represented South Africa at all youth levels.
He was part of the 2015 FIFA Under-17 World Cup in Chile and featured in David Notoane’s Under-23 squad that played in the Tokyo Olympics.
With the Seraleng-born winger’s performance rate at this point, Kodisang is definitely destined for greatness in his football career
FANS REACT TO KODISANG’S PERFORMANCE
One fan tweeted: “What could be the reasons for this starlet not being called up to Bafana Bafana?
The other follower added: “Doesn’t matter if it’s a league or cup game, this boy knows how to find the back of the net.
Another one said: “Just pure class, bafo! He is so aggressive Shinga had his work cut out for him he runs directly towards defenders.”
