SuperSport captain describes Grant Margeman as a baller

SuperSport United captain Onismor Bhasera has described Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Grant Margeman as a baller; an extremely talented player.

Bhasera has heaped praise on Margeman, who is on loan at SuperSport from Sundowns.

Margeman has been one of the standout performers for SuperSport since joining from Tshwane arch-rivals Sundowns at the start of the 2022/23 season on a two-season loan deal.

The 24-year-old Margeman could not establish himself in the midfield at Sundowns, having joined them from Ajax Cape Town in July 2020.

He spent the 2021/22 campaign on loan at Swallows, playing a crucial role as the Soweto-based side retained their top-flight status in the PSL promotion/relegation playoffs.

Though he penned a deal with Sundowns as a highly-rated midfielder, the Ajax Cape Town youth was sent out on loan again at Matsatstantsa ahead of the 2022/23 season to get time game.

‘A GOOD ADDITION TO SUPERSPORT UNITED’

The 24-year-old has since established himself as one of the regular starters under head coach Gavin Hunt at SuperSport, walking straight into the starting line-up.

“Grant [Margeman] came in as a very good addition to the team,” Onismor Bhasera told FARPost.

“You can see with the performance he has been putting in for the team. He has been putting in many Man of the Match performances in almost every game.”

The SuperSport skipper also highlighted the midfielder’s best qualities while stating that Margeman, made the central midfield position his own at the club.

“So he [Margeman] has been a good addition to the team. He’s working very hard at training. Right now, he’s been working very hard, and he’s eager to get back to playing. He’s a baller,” added Bhasera, who was entrusted with the captaincy role after Ronwen Williams left to join Sundowns.

Margeman has made 10 appearances and scored two goals in the league for Matsatsantsa so far this season.

He will be looking to continue with his good form when the DStv Premiership resumes after the 2022 Qatar FIFA World Cup break end of December.

The Tshwane side started off slowly before picking up pace and moving to third place on the log standings before the World Cup hiatus.

SuperSport will resume their league campaign with a clash against Marumo Gallants on the 30th of December at home.
