Banyana star part ways with Belarusian side
Banyana Banyana defender Lebohang Ramalepe has confirmed to FARPost that she has parted ways with FC Dinamo Minsk.
This comes after her contract with the Belarusian side came to an end.
Since joining Minsk back in 2020, the Limpopo-born footballer has managed to the Belarusian Premier League title three times in a row with the club.
LEBOHANG RAMALEPE SPEAKS…
“Yes, I have left the team,” Ramalepe confirmed the news to this publication.
When asked what the reason behind her departure is, she said: “My contract with the team has come to an end.”
The 31-year-old right-back further stated that she is still weighing her options before she could decide where she is heading next.
In South Africa, she represented teams such as Kanatla Ladies and Ma-Indies Ladies before moving to the Belarusian club.
Ramalepe played an important role in helping Desiree Ellis’ charges to win the 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) tournament, which was held in Morocco three months ago, having made her debut for Banyana against Zimbabwe back in 2004.
She was part of the Banyana squad roster for the 2014 African Women’s Championship in Namibia and also represented South Africa at the 2016 Summer Olympics

One follower added: “I was more upset with Desiree for sticking with her when all could see she was a ticking time bomb at least later on she benched her, I was never comfortable with her at the back, she does completely unnecessary things and unnecessary dribbles at very dangerous areas of the field.”
