Erik ten Hag’s hope for Manchester United players

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has singled out his players for praise for their brilliant performances at the ongoing 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

The Dutchman, Ten Hag says he hopes that his troops, that are shining at the global showpiece, will continue with their fine form when the Premier League resumes.

A total of 11 Red Devils players have made it to the quarter-finals of the World Cup with their respective national teams.

Man United players in the England squad include Luke Shaw, Marcus Rashford and Harry Maguire, while the defending World Champions, France got Raphael Varane.

With the club recently parting ways with Cristiano Ronaldo, Portugal have the Man United duo of Diogo Dalot and Bruno Fernandez. Netherlands got Tyrell Malacia in their squad.

Meanwhile, Argentina have Lisandro Martinez with Brazil having the trio of Casemiro, Fred and Antony.

Morocco and Croatia are the only remaining countries in the 2022 World Cup without Manchester United players.

ERIK Ten HAG’S HOPE AND PRAISE

“It’s motivation to work because we have top-class players. Now it’s about getting the best team. We want to achieve something this season,” ten Hag told MUTV.

“I follow them all and try to keep in touch with them. I’m really happy with their performances, and that’s a good message to our team.

“Of course, when Holland is playing, I have a connection with a lot of the members of the Dutch squad, with the players in particular, but also with the staff members.

“You follow your country, but I can also enjoy England, Argentina, Brazil and Portugal, where our other players are.”

Some Man United players will go head to head from December 9th when the last eight kicks off.
