Two Mbappe qualities that reminds Brazil legend Ronaldo of himself
Brazil legend Ronaldo has revealed two qualities Kylian Mbappe posses that reminds him of himself.
During his playing days, Ronaldo had pace and was a goal poacher. The same applies to Mbapp as he is fast and a goal scorer of note.
Mbappe has been on top of his game since making a breakthrough for Ligue 1 side AS Monaco in the 2016/17 season scoring 15 goals and providing eight assists in 29 matches.
In that season in the UEFA Champions League, Mbappe netted six goals in nine outings. In 2018, he scored four goals in seven matches to guide France to win their second World Cup.
RONALDO REVEALS MBAPPE’S QUALITIES
Mbappe is known for his pace and for being a lethal striker.
“I once talked about how fast he is and how good he is. How I remember me when I played,” Ronaldo told the reporters.
“He knows how to use his ability, how to run faster than the others and use that ability to assist or score.”
Ronaldo, the three-time world champion further made a bold Mbappe and France statement.
“[Kylian] Mbappe for me is going to be the best player in the World Cup,” he said.
“I think France are the favorite to win the World Cup as I said before the World Cup started.
Mbappe, the 2022 World Cup joint top scorer with five goals will be aiming to get on the score sheet to increase his chances of winning the Golden Boot after missing out in 2018 World Cup Russia to Harry Kane.
Les Bleus are in the semifinals of the 2022 FIFA World Cup after defeating England 2-1 in the quarterfinals. They will face the tournament’s surprise package Morocco on Wednesday for a spot in the final.
