The type of a striker Kaizer Chiefs need

One position Kaizer Chiefs need to fill in the January transfer window is the striker position.

That’s according to Amakhosi super fan Thulani Ngcobo, who says the club’s attackers seem to be failing to do the task at hand, which is scoring goals.

The Chiefs super fan went on to reveal the type of striker the club needs to acquire when the window opens in January.

Last week, this publication revealed that Chiefs are assessing DR Congo striker Cristian Saile in an effort to improve their attack.

DECISION MAKER

“Chiefs need a striker that will make a decision on their own. We need someone who will improvise just like Samir Nurkovic and Collins Mbesuma,” Ngcobo told FARPost.

“A striker that is always on high alert, makes moves when the team is on attack mode. That’s what is lacking from our attack.”

TARGET MAN

“We lost Bernard Parker and Nurkovic and we didn’t replace them with good players. The club need to get a striker that will convert many opportunities we create.

“We have been creating a lot goal scoring opportunities, however we failing to find the back of the net.”

Ngcobo further named a striker he thinks can do well for the club even though it will be a short term stint.

“Maybe Judas Moseamedi can do something for us. If he can come and we give him one year contract. He likes Chiefs, if you see a player that plays against Chiefs and they perform well, just know they support Chiefs,” he added.

In the first half of the season the Soweto giants have been struggling to score goals. Amakhosi have only scores 16 goals in 13 matches in the DStv Premiership.

Attackers Ashley Du Preez, Keagan Dolly, Mduduzi Shabalala and Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana have 12 goals combined. The rest we scored by midfielders and defenders.
