Chelsea boss Graham Potter has given his verdict on Hakim Ziyech’s performances at the just-ended FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

One can say that Ziyech’s return to the Moroccan national team was a blessing in disguise.

The winger had announced his retirement from international football following his dispute with former coach Vahid Halilhodzic, who was latter shown the exit door.

But following the appointment of coach Walid Regragui, the Blues’ star player returned back to the Atlas Lions set-up.

Ziyech played a significant role in helping his nation become the first African country to reach the semifinal of the prestigious tournament in history.

The Moroccan international is yet to start a game since Potter took over the coaching reigns at Chelsea. Potter replaced Thomas Tuchel, the manager who signed Ziyech.

However, the Chelsea mentor has hailed Ziyech’s qualities at the World Cup.
