Enock Mwepu lands coaching job at Brighton and Hove Albion

Former Zambia and Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Enock Mwepu has landed his first coaching job with the development side at the club.

He was on Friday announced as the new head coach of the Under-9s. He will start the job in January 2023.

The 24-year-old was unlucky in his playing career after he was forced to retire back in October due to a hereditary heart condition.

Mwepu joined the Premier League outfit back in July 2021 from Red Bull Salzburg for a value of around £18m. He went on to make 27 appearances in all competitions. He found the back of the net three times.

“God’s plan and timing is always perfect. Ending the year with Joy. I belong to CHRIST JESUS,” Mwepu posted on his Twitter account.
