Pitso Mosimane’s club returns to winning ways
Coach Pitso Mosimane’s Al Ahli Saudi Club returned to winning ways after brushing aside Al-Shoulla 2-0 on Wednesday evening.
Haitham Asiri’s 18th-minute strike and Murad Khodari’s 72nd-minute effort secured Al Ahli Saudi Club the maximum points.
The Saudi Arabia First Division match occurred at King Abdullah Stadium in Jeddah.
The win ended a run of two consecutive draws that had threatened to undermine Pitso Mosimane’s promotion hopes.
Al Ahli Saudi Club won twice in the last four consecutive games.
The win on Wednesday saw Al Ahli Saudi Club maintain their sixth place on the 18-member log table.
Earlier, Pitso Mosimane’s charges had shared the spoils at 0-0 with Al Arabi on December 27, 2022.
The hosts had gone into Wednesday’s contest after a two-all draw against Al-Sahel on December 31 2022.

After that, Al Ahli Saudi Club’s other match would be against the leaders Al-Faisaly four days later.
Al Shoulla anchor the standings with relegation looming for them after managing to collect just 10 points from 14 games.
