Dan Malesela vows to continue fighting for survival
Marumo Gallants head coach Dan Malesela has backed his club to fight their current log situation in the upcoming games.
Gallants will host Maritzburg United at Royal Bafokeng Stadium in a DStv Premiership clash on Saturday.
The match comes at the back of the club having dropped three places in the DStv Premiership Log. They are now third from the bottom, two points above Maritzburg United, who are bottom of the log.
A defeat by the team of Choice might see Gallants dropping to the basement of the log. This will also depend on the result between Swallows and Chippa United. They face a Maritzburg United side that comes from a 2-1 defeat by TS Galaxy.
DAN MALESELA VOW TO FIGHT
“We will continue fighting (for better results). We continue playing, we won’t stop, we can’t really sit and relax,” he said.
“I am one with solutions. I found solutions to see how better we can do to improve things. So, we will just continue to fight. We can’t allow things like this (bad officiating) to demoralize us. No, we can’t.”
ON THE UPCOMING SCHEDULE
After the match in North West, Marumo will face Stellenbosch on Wednesday, 11 January. They will then host high-flying Richards Bay before a trip to KwaZulu Natal to face their former coach Romain Folz at AmaZulu.
“It’s hard to manage that. We may not come back to Polokwane after the Rustenburg match. We might shoot straight to Cape Town, or we stay in Johannesburg and then head to Cape Town. But we will try to manage this travelling as best as we can.”
On whether there are too many issues distracting the progress of the team, Malesela refused to comment.
“Nah, Let’s discuss them (potential sale or relocation of the club). You don’t want to commit to things that you know nothing of.”
