‘Everyone deserves a second chance’: Ntshangase on Leopards return

Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Siphelele Ntshangase has opened up on the frustration of sitting at home for over six months without any club interested in his services.

Ntshangase was officially confirmed as a new signing by Black Leopards on Saturday.

His last competitive match was in December 2021 for Marumo Gallants against Orlando Pirates in Polokwane.

Despite not kicking a ball in an official match for over a year, his ex-club Leopards, have shown faith by giving him a contract.

Speaking to the media in Malamulele, where he was sitting on the bench against Polokwane City, Ntshangase said he wants to use the ‘second chance’ to revive his career.

“I was called by the Chairman (David Thidiela) because most of the time I was just sitting at home,” Ntshangase explained.

SECOND CHANCE FOR SIPHELELE NTSHANGASE

“This is where I made my name so I couldn’t hesitate. So I told myself that since this is where j made a name for myself anything is possible in life. Everyone deserves a second chance in Life.

“I do believe (this is my second chance). Because these are the people who believed in me from day one,” he said.

STASH STILL HAS A LOT TO OFFER

Ntshangase says sitting at home while no one was interested in him was a bit frustrating.

“It was (frustrating) because playing football is something that I love. But the way God does his things you will never question his will. So I am happy to be back here.

“I still have a lot to offer. As you know my career had its ups and downs. But I still believe I am capable of delivering on the pitch,” added the 29-year-old.

“I think I am 100% focused on the team and whatever they want to achieve is the same as myself. Going back to the DStv Premiership I think that’s the most important thing.”
