Black Leopards head coach Johnny Ferreira reckons they will go for the kill when they face Venda Football Academy [VFA] in Saturday’s Vhembe derby encounter at Thohoyandou Stadium.
The eagerly-awaited mouthwatering derby is set to kick off at 15:30.
Lidoda Duvha has only managed to win two games of their last 12 league matches this campaign.
Leopards go into the game in 14th place with 10 points in the Motsepe Foundation Championship, equal on points with arch-rivals VFA, who are in 15th position.
In their most recent game, Ferreira’s charges succumbed to a 1-0 defeat to rivals Polokwane City in a Limpopo derby Nedbank Cup qualification clash at Malamulele Stadium.
The club’s loss over the weekend means Ferreira will be careful with the squad he will pick to play VFA in a league clash on Saturday to get fruitful results and climb up the table.

JOHNNY FERREIRA ON FACING VFAโฆ
“It is a must win game for us,” Ferreira told FARPost.
“They are laying 15th, and we are laying 14th and it is a home game for us. So, we need to take advantage of that.
“We want to turn this Malamulele into a fortress.”
However, the 65-year-old mentor is impressed with how his troops are playing since he took over the coaching reigns from Rodwell Dhlakama.
“Based on our performance [against Polokwane City] we are on the right track,” he added.
“This is a very important game for us and the supporters.”
WHAT JOHNNY FERREIRA HAS OBSERVED FROM HIS PLAYERSโฆ
The well-travelled coach also revealed what he has observed from his boys so far and insists that he is happy with the progress.
“The body language of the players is top, the energy levels is very high. We just needs more intelligence with our final passes,” explained Ferreira.
