After spending a decade abroad, Kamohelo Mokotjo has revealed his expectations from the Premier Soccer League [PSL].
This comes after the highly-rated midfielder was officially unveiled by Sekhukhune United on Friday.
He joins Babina Noko on a one-year-and-half deal, having parted ways with FC Cincinnati [USA] early last year.
The 31-year-old is the club’s third signing in after the acquisitions of Philani Zulu and Mzwanele Mahashe.
WHAT KAMOHELO MOKOTJO EXPECTS…
A visibly elated Mokotjo said: “Honestly, I’m expecting a lot after being abroad for over a decade.”
“I know the league is very unpredictable. So, it is my responsibility to adapt as quickly as possible to adjust whenever I need to.
“I’m looking forward to the challenge, and I know there are differences between where I played and the PSL, but at the end of the day, football is football, and it is a challenge I’m prepared to face.”
In South Africa, Mokotjo represented Supersport United, where he started from the club’s Academy and was promoted to the senior team at 16 years back in the 2008/2009 season.
The talented midfielder then moved to the Netherlands to play for Feyenoord during the 2009/10 campaign.
During his stay abroad, Mokotjo also played for teams such as Excelsior, FC Twente, and Brentford, to mention a few.
The ex-Bafana Bafana midfield maestro was part of South Africa’s U12 national team that won the 2003 Danone Nations Cup in France and was named Player of the Tournament. He was the captain of the side at that time.
He also represented South Africa U20 at the U20 FIFA World Cup in 2009. After that, he played for the U23 team and was part of the Bafana squad that played in the African Cup of Nations [AFCON] in Egypt.

The club’s chairman Simon Malatji welcomed the highly-rated midfielder with open arms and wished ‘The General’ well as he begins his new chapter at the Limpopo outfit.
