Kaizer Chiefs bolster squad with highly-rated foreign duo
Kaizer Chiefs have bolstered their squad with the signings of two highly-rated foreign players in Congolese striker Christian Saile Basomboli and Botswana international Thatayaone Ditlhokwe.
The signing of Christian Saile, who joins Chiefs from Zambia Super League side Nchanga Rangers comes as no surprise as the Soweto giants have been struggling in front goals this season.
The striker signed a three-and-half-year deal with Chiefs.
He impressed Arthur Zwane and the rest of the Amakhosi technical team during his trial at Naturena.
Botswana captain, Ditlhokwe penned a pre-contract with Amakhosi from DStv Premiership side SuperSport United.
The 24-year-old will join the Glamour Boys in July on a four-year contract after his deal with SuperSport expires.

Saile Basomboli attracted interest in South Africa following his extraordinary spell with Rangers.
He won the Golden Boot award in the National League, Zambia’s second tier in the 2021/22 season with 19 goals.
With his goal scoring exploits, the hitman helped Rangers gain promotion to the Premiership as captain that campaign,
In the current season, Saile Basomboli reportedly scored seven out of the 16 goals Rangers scored in the Super League.
He will be expected to bang in the goals at Chiefs with Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana.
Bimenyimana has proven to be the club’s only regular net eater with seven goals in the league.
He is the joint top scorer along with Peter Shaluile and Bradley Grobler.
Meanwhile, Ditlhokwe has been a mainstay in defence for SuperSport, playing in over 75 matches in all competitions since joining the club from Township Rollers in 2020.
