Police warn woman for plotting to break Fashion Sakala’s legs
Zambia Police has recorded a warn and caution statement against a woman for allegedly conspiring to break the legs of Glasgow Rangers and Chipolopolo striker Fashion Sakala.
Linetty Kaoma is alleged to have promised her brother Ngosa Kaoma the sum of Kwacha 20,000 (Rands 18,173) to incapacitate Sakala.
Zambia Police assistant public relations officer Godfrey Chilabitold ZNBC News TV that that plot was hatched last December and that they had interrogated a 30-year-old woman over the matter.
DETAILS OF THE PLOT AGAINST FASHION SAKALA
“In the same circumstances, this Mr Ngosa Kaoma was going to be given K20, 000 after that exercise was done, and K5000 (Rands 4,543) was going to be given as a down payment,” Chilabi said.
“So, immediately when we received this report, we instituted our investigations as Zambia Police Service.
“We summoned the person in question, and a warn and caution statement was recorded, and since then, we have continued with our investigations.
“And further, the report indicates that all this occurred between 15th and 16th December 2022.”
Meanwhile, it is unclear whether the plot is related to Kaoma’s injunction against Sakala that she filed in December, accusing the Chipolopolo striker of invading her privacy.
CHIPOLOPOLO STAR STRIKER
Sakala is alleged to have sent an indecent picture of Kaoma to her young sister before he deleted it.
Kaoma and Sakala are alleged to have been in an affair for four years and broke up in May 2022.
Sakala is a Chipolopolo star striker and joined the Scottish giants in July 2021 on a four-year deal from KV Oostende of Belgium.
He arrived in Europe via Russia in 2017 when he joined Spartak Moscow from Zanaco.
The Chipolopolo striker was part of the Zambia U20 team that won the 2017 U20 AFCON as hosts and went on to reach the quarterfinals of the 2017 FIFA U20 World Cup in South Korea.
